This graph shows international research collaborations - I made it to test out Circos, a software package used to show tabular data in circular format, which makes relationships much more obvious than staring at heaps of numbers.
The data is a bit old (2001-2005) - China would now be more important. It’s interesting to see how much the USA and UK dominate collaborative relationships, and think about whether this will stay the same as China and other emerging economies invest increasing amounts in their science and research systems.
