Malcolm Gladwell on Steve Jobs as a "tweaker"

Interesting perspective on how micro-level tweaking can be what makes macro-level ideas work effectively as industrial products. A comparison exists with Microsoft, who have been pretty good at developing visions of future technology (including the videos they put out describing the future of healthcare or office work) - but haven’t really been able to execute well enough to release any category-changing products comparable to the iPhone or iPad.

Also interesting is the discussion of how Steve Jobs was very difficult to deal with on a personal level. Walter Isaacson’s biography seems to be worth a read.
